One of the most impressive fire spectacles with professional pyrotechnics ever held in Bulgaria was the one at the inauguration of the European Month of Culture at the Ancient Theatre of Plovdiv on 28 May 1999.

We deployed almost two tons of fireworks at four firing points around the amphitheatre. Numerous diverse firework compositions exploded again and again above the heads of the presidents of Bulgaria and Greece, and about 800 more people, to the sound of the Ode to Joy.

At the end we shot blasts of Spanish and Japanese star shells with calibres of 125 mm, 150 mm, 200 mm and 300 mm at heights of 200 to 700 metres.
